I. Underwater videography training course

Basic level: 2 days (2 sessions, 6-8h – classes, examples, discussion)
Training language: English or Russian, translation options are possible
 
1. Technicals:

  • Review – what equipment to shoot underwater?
  • Underwater housings
  • Underwater lights
  • Optics, wet or dry system? (lenses and converters)
  • Sound equipment
  • Accessories
  • Ready to shot? (camera set up)

2. Shooting:

  • Screenplay
    • underwater
    • ground
  • The rules of Composition
  • How (and what) to shoot underwater?
    • select a location
    • select a motif
    • static shots
    • shots in motion
    • shots of people
    • modelling
    • filming wrecks
    • macro shooting
    • if visibility is poor?
  • Ground shooting
  • Sound and music in the underwater film

3. Post production:

  • Editing
    • footage overview and description
    • selection (only the best)
    • shots sequence and possibilities in editing
    • color correction and effects
    • sound and music
    • subtitles
    • narration
  • Publish your work (computer, TV, internet)

II. Underwater videography practical workshop

Intermediate level: 2 -3 days (4 dives + 6h practical workshops)
Training language: English or Russian, translation options are possible

Planning, diving, underwater filming, modelling and short film editing during the workshop.
Discussion and analysis of footage. Practical works and solutions.

The result of the workshop will be a short underwater video filmed, edited and produced by the participants.

For the workshops is required:
– participation in part I. Underwater videography training course
– own underwater camera
